I wonder if i think of you today or remember this day for any reason other than to remember it. Do I make myself feel this feeling of your lost, or does it just linger in my mind. I guess there so much i could say or is at the base of my heart today.  I miss you dad.

Questlove on Soul Train and Don Cornelieus

I deemed it imperative that i NEVER part with it. you can imagine the arguments i’ve gotten into with flight attendants over that bag. this bag is my blue blanket to my linus. i carry that bag everywhere cause the future is in this bag. and by the future i mean our past. and by our past i mean Soul Train. Don...

Segregation In America: 'Dragging On And On' →
Racial segregation in the U.S. housing market has ebbed since its peak, around 1960. But it can be hard to find a truly integrated American neighborhood, according to demographer John Logan of Brown University, who has been has been parsing the latest census data. “Black-white segregation is a phenomenon that is dragging on and on,” Logan tells NPR’s Steve Inskeep.

It appears that Jay-Z and Kanye West’s gigantic tour as the Throne could lead to yet another huge joint tour, though it won’t be two huge music acts hitting the road together. Instead, it just might be two of comedy’s biggest stars

Survival’s Ick Factor →
Disgust is the Cinderella of emotions. While fear, sadness and anger, its nasty, flashy sisters, have drawn the rapt attention of psychologists poor disgust has been hidden away in a corner, left to muck around in the ashes. No longer. Disgust is having its moment in the light as researchers find that it does more than cause that sick feeling in the stomach. It protects human beings from disease...

a response to a question about religion posted on http://monochromaticblack.tumblr.com/  “I think diluting religion to mere theories of how the world came to be is over-simplification. Yes, theories of how the world came to be are aspects included in religion but those theories alone don’t necessarily define a religion. And it’s very interesting, I’ve heard two people who are atheist...

Music Saves Me.
Music is always that something…I can talk to when there is no one else up at 4 in the morning.   I feel alone in this fight ahead. I know the fight is worth fighting, but it would be nice to have robin along side me on some “back to back” type shit. It would help me to know i’m going to make it through when I have moments of doubt. I can get this crazy anxiety at times....
